Shing Chun-hay identifies creativity with its power to inspire new perception, whether of music, of art, or of life. His works, often embodying his reflections and literary inspirations, have been premiered and performed in Hong Kong and abroad by eminent musicians including pianist Mary Wu, violinist Ho Hong-ying, cellist Timothy Frank, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Chinese Music Virtuosi and Trio de TST. His music has received broadcast by RadioCEMAT (Italy) and Radio 4 (Fine Music Channel) of Radio Television Hong Kong.

 

Shing is the champion of New Generation 2015, a winner of David Gwilt Composition Prize, and an awardee of The Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH) Scholarship. His works have been featured in music festivals and conference, such as Yogyakarta Contemporary Music Festival (Indonesia), Risuonanze 2015 (Italy), Singapore Asian Composers Festival and Intercultural Music Conference and Concerts (USA). Most recently, his Moon over the West River, written for clarinet and piano, is published by Alea Publishing and Recording.

 

In addition to holding a Master of Arts in Music degree, Shing is currently Doctoral student in composition at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, studying with Professor Wendy Wan-ki Lee. He began composing as a junior secondary student and composition has remained one of his main musical interests since then.

成俊曦相信創意能為音樂、藝術以至人生啟發新視角，筆下作品結合個人反思及文學原素，曾於本地及海外獲著名音樂家及團體演出，包括鋼琴家吳美樂、小提琴家何紅英、大提琴家Timothy Frank、香港創樂團、龢鳴樂坊、TST三重奏，並於意大利RadioCEMAT電台及香港電台第四台播出。

成氏於香港作曲家聯會主辦的年度作曲比賽「音樂新一代」中奪冠，曾獲紀大衛作曲獎、香港作曲家及作詞家協會獎學金，並以作曲家身份在多個音樂節及研討會發表作品，包括印尼日惹當代音樂節、意大利Risuonanze 2015音樂節、新加坡亞洲作曲家音樂節、美國Intercultural Music研討會及音樂會。最近，單簧管及鋼琴作品《西江月》由Alea Publishing and Recording出版。

 

成氏畢業於香港中文大學，獲頒音樂文學碩士學位，現修讀音樂博士（作曲），師隨李允琪教授。成氏自小對音樂具濃厚興趣，初中起創作至今。
